Palmday is made by {{OPERATOR}}, {{ADDRESS}} (“we”). This policy explains what happens to your information when you use the Palmday app and the website palmday.app. If you have a question, write to {{EMAIL}}.
The short version
- Palmday has no account and no sign-in.
- Your quit plan, your logs and your notes stay on your phone. We have no servers that receive them.
- There are no ads, no analytics, no crash reporting and no tracking, in the app or on the website.
- The only information that leaves your phone is what is needed for purchases (handled by Apple or Google, and RevenueCat) and your phone’s own backups, if you have them turned on.
What Palmday keeps on your phone
To work, Palmday stores the following in its own storage on your phone:
- Your plan: what you are quitting (vapes, cigarettes, pouches), your quit or cut-down dates, how much you used and what it cost, and your currency.
- Your logs: cravings you rode out, uses and slips you logged, and any notes you wrote.
- Your reasons and your savings goal.
- Your settings: reminder times, language, season, island style and similar choices.
- Your island’s history: what has appeared on your island.
This information is never sent to us. The home-screen widgets read the same information on your phone to show your island.
Backups
If you have iCloud Backup (iPhone) or Android backup turned on, your phone includes Palmday’s data in its backups, as it does for other apps. These backups are run by Apple or Google under their own privacy policies and your account settings. We cannot see them.
Export and import
In Settings you can export your data as a CSV file and import it again. The file goes wherever you choose to save or share it. We never receive it.
Purchases
Subscriptions and island styles are bought through the App Store or Google Play. Apple or Google handle the payment; we never see your payment details or your name.
To manage purchases, Palmday uses RevenueCat, a service that checks which purchases you own. RevenueCat receives:
- an anonymous ID created on your phone (not your name, email or Apple or Google account);
- your purchases and the store’s receipts for them;
- your phone’s language and the currency of your store;
- the platform and the versions of the app and of your phone’s operating system.
This information is not linked to your identity and is not used for tracking or advertising. RevenueCat processes it on our behalf to provide purchases and restore them. Notifications
Reminders are scheduled on your phone by the phone itself. Palmday does not use a push notification service, so no message is sent to us or from us.
What Palmday does not do
Palmday does not use your location, contacts, photos, camera, microphone or health records, and it does not show ads. It contains no analytics or crash-reporting tools.
The website
The website palmday.app sets no cookies and uses no analytics. It is hosted by Cloudflare, whose servers process your IP address and basic request information to deliver the pages and protect the site, under Cloudflare’s privacy policy (https://www.cloudflare.com/privacypolicy/).
How long information is kept
Information on your phone stays until you delete it or the app. Deleting Palmday removes its data from your phone (backups you made remain until your phone replaces them). Purchase records at RevenueCat are kept for as long as needed to provide and restore your purchases and to meet legal obligations.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct or delete personal information, or to object to its use. Because Palmday keeps your plan and logs only on your phone, you control them directly: you can change them in the app, export them, or delete them. For purchase records held by RevenueCat, write to {{EMAIL}} and we will help. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.
Children
Palmday is for adults who use nicotine. It is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under {{MIN_AGE}}.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top and, for important changes, tell you in the app.
